Part III of Final

                  Distracted Driving: Think Of Both Sides

In this photo I think they took the picture of the little girl and using the select tool, they selected the mirror. Then they placed the picture of the little girl behind the mirror and erased any part that needed to be. For the little boy they took a photo of the boy in the proper pose, then placed him behind the window of the car. They then proceed to erase the area of the boy. Using the drag tool,  the positioned the boy to match his face with that of the little girl. I think this series because it is showing how using your phone or being distracted with behind the wheel will danger you, anyone you may hit, and anybody else in the car.

For this piece i believe that the creator took a photo of a clock and  using burn and dodge tool, the made part of the clock dark and the other light. They then made what look like a very good drawing of a screaming seal and then pasted it onto the clock. Then using the red paint tool, they added some blood around to seal to show t\hat the hands are killing him. I like this particular piece because it brings awareness to extinct animals and that we can help.

Sexual Predators Can Hide In Your Child’s Smartphone

To make this picture, they took a picture of a girl with a smartphone in her back pocket. Then  using the dodge and burn tool the made it seem as though there was a hand coming out of her phone. I like this picture because it brings awareness that not everyone you meet online is who or what they say, so ALWAYS be careful and watch who you talk to. 

    Sleepiness Is Stronger Than You. Don’t Drive Sleepy

for this they used a birds eye view of a truck, then using the  stamp filter, they made it seems as though the truck id a drawing, and same thing with the picture of the boy and his father.  Then they place a photo of a half opened eye, then proceeded to place the truck on the top lid, with the move tool, the place the little boy and his dad on the bottom.  I like this because it shows you the dangers of driving while your tired. This is an reoccurring problem, that must be fixed.
                                 
Buckle up. Stay alive

This series is an interesting one. I think that the burn tool was used to make the women look fuller. Also they placed a photo of a seat belt and using the move tool, they positioned the belt to go over top of the "death year." I really like this picture because it shows that a seat belt, such a small little thing, and save your life from being little.

ARTISTS

This year i learned about many artist, but some of my favorites were Ben Heine, who mixed photos with drawings. He made the photo and drawing appear as one image. Roy Lichtenstein who made art with dots. His style of art was different, using only the primary colors (red, blue, & yellow) he would cover his whole model in dots. Daniele Guido was really interesting. He would make hand art, which using his hands and arms, he would create master pieces. He would make his hands into something completely different. Another artist that I learned about and liked was JR. JR is a French artist who started the Inside-Out project. He would take pictures of people and using glue and water he would paste them everywhere. The pictures were manly to send a message. The last artist I liked was Brandon with The Humans Of New York. He would take pictures of many different, but interesting people on the streets of New York. 

Favorites

This has definitely been a great year but while in the lab i really liked the realistic cartoons. It was really interesting to see myself as my favorite childhood character. This assignment really tested our skills with Photoshop. It was fun to use all the tools and the over all experience was great.

My favorite B-12 project has to be the scratch board.  It was so much fun creating something with just scratching. I loved it! I think that it came out so realistic like and it was really fun to make. I had lots of laughs while making that piece. That has to be my favorite B-21 project we did all year.

Jeremy Cowart: Portrait Photography-

      Jeremy Cowart is a self taught photographer. He studied graphic design and started a design company in 2001. He soon realized that photography was his true calling, switching careers in 2005. Cowart was born February 20th, 1984. He was born and raised in Nashville, TN, and i currently living there today. Cowart has a wife and two kids. Cowart one said 

“…I don’t want to be known as any one thing. I hope to be known as an idea person.”

Scratchboard

art technique of scratchboard- both a medium, and an illustrative technique using sharp knives and tools for etching into a thin layer of white China clay that is coated with black India ink

sgraffito-a technique either of wall decor, produced by applying layers of plaster tinted in contrasting colours to a moistened surface, or in ceramics, by applying to an unfired ceramic body two successive layers of contrasting slip, and then in either case scratching so as to produce an outline drawing.

Both types of art use "scratching" to male the final piece.

                          My self portrait reflects inner bulling. It shows how you will ALWAYS have someone bulling you. You! But you can chose whether to listen or not. This shows how you too can make yourself feel small and useless but only you can save yourself. My self portrait is of me bulling myself, which, in some ways, I feel I do. But I know that I can change that for the better.

Document yourself in a vulnerable state.

Use props to express your personality.

Self-timers rock.

Look up to the sky.

Don't look at the camera.

Light HW

The video is an interesting one. It looks like the woman is getting older, but she is not. This video shows you the power of light, and what it can do. It's like magic. Light does things that only light can do.
